I say for the first time because if you're like me, you may wish to re-read books from time to time.
I was just looking through my Goodreads, and I was thinking "what book do I wish I could read again for the first time this year", and it was definitely Fatal Vision by Joe McGinniss. I know it's been subject to a bit of controversy, but I was so engrossed in the book and so in awe of the story and writing – and it is definitely the best book I've read this year. I just hope I top it before Christmas.
Currently I am reading Scott Turow's Presumed Innocent and so far this is the best fiction novel I've read this year.
