I just played through the game Red Dead Redemption 2 again for the first time in 6 years and love it. It’s a game set in the Wild West that is very character driven. The way the game ends leaves you feeling sad, it’s one of those endings that just sits with you and you think about for awhile afterwards. Looking for some books that could give me the same feeling

I am currently reading the dark tower: the gunslinger by Stephen king for this exact reason!!! I love red dead
All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy
The Sisters Brothers is the closest thing to RDR2 that I’ve read. Honorable mention for Lonesome Dove and Butcher’s Crossing.
