I’m looking for novels that were adapted into a televsion (or streaming) series after they were published, not books or fan fiction published that take place in a fictional TV universe. I’m open to any genre.
Examples:
* *Big Sky* was based on *The Highway* series by C.J. Box.
* *The Last Ship* was based on *The Last Ship* by William Brinkley
Thanks in advance for your replies!

I really love the old A&E made for TV movie versions of Horatio Hornblower’s adventures.
Dark Winds by Tony Hillerman has been adapted into a really good Mystery Western series on AMC +
The Queens Gambit was a tremendous read
The Magicians by Lev Grossman, on SciFi/Netflix
The Expanse series, on Amazon
Shadow and Bone by Bardough on Netflix
The Queen’s Gambit on Netflix
The wheel of time, Amazon – did not enjoy
The silimarion , Amazon – did not enjoy at all
Little Fires Everywhere
Handmaid’s Tale – book by Atwood, now a series on Hulu
Station 11 – now a series on HBO
The Sharpe Series by Bernard Cornwell was made into a series of made for tv movies by the BBC
The Saxon Saga by Bernard Cornwell was made in to a Netflix series named after the first book, The Last Kingdom
Daisy Jones and The Six
His Dark Materials
*Lonesome Dove*.
*The Count of Monte Cristo*. It’s been adapted into multiple movies, but my favourite adaptation is *Gankutsuou*, which is an anime adaptation complete with vengeance demons, killer robots, and space travel. It understands the key points of the novel much better than any of the other adaptations, IMO.
