It can be anything. I just finished the Destroyer of Worlds by Matt Ruff , The Only Good Indians, and Servant of the Underworld (about the aztecs) I want more of what's different than the usual contemporary American narrator. Just someone different from me, it can be historical fiction, fantasy, contemporary , lgbtq anything. I'm a white American woman in my early 30s and I'd like to hear radically different stories. Just fiction please ! Stand alone if possible! Thanks!

You can try Em and the Big Hoom. It’s about a woman and her family living in 90s Mumbai and her dealings with mental illness.
