Idek how quite to articulate what I’m looking for. I love Mary Higgins’s Clark – and part of what I love is how she describes things like “she swept up her hair in a neat bun, swiped a pale pink lipstick on, and threw on a pair of slacks”.

I just love imagery like that I guess? Lol idk just like the imagery of people going through their day.

Looking for books like hers but not as intense.

    TIA for reading this!!

All Creatures Great and Small and every other book by James Herriot. He has a knack for describing the mundane aspects of his life and the unique characters he meets in such a way that I can’t help but feel immense fondness for his entire world. I’ve been reading his books nonstop for over a month and I haven’t tired of it yet.
