Books similar to Milton’s “Paradise Lost”, i.e. epic tales in which angels / demons / djinn / dybbuks / Anunnaki / other supernatural beings / etc, are the major characters?

So far I have only come across partial matches, such as Kenneth Zeigler's "Tears of Heaven" series, Frank Peretti's "Darkness" series, James Blish's "Judgement" series, and the poems of William Blake.
In most cases, human beings and their activities remain the major focus of these texts.
