I often find myself thinking about a book I read maybe 12-15 years ago. I have no idea when it came out, but it was a young adult book. It’s been so long but it haunts me, and I want to remember what it is so badly, no one I’ve described it to ever remembers it, and I’m beginning to think I made it up!
The main character (I think teen girl) lives in a community where there’s no technology or development. But in actuality the world is fabricated (think Truman show) and people from the outside world (modern times) go visit this world with see through mirrors (like a zoo exhibit). The main character finds out she lives in a simulation and escapes into the modern world.
Does anyyyyone remember this? Please please please! 🙂 thank you
