So I loved The Expanse, I loved Red Rising, I just finished On Basilisk Station and while I didn't hate it and there ideas that I liked, it just really wasn't for me.

Wondering what to try next cause I doubt I'll be carrying on with Weber any time soon.

Books that aren't sci-fi that I've enjoyed (been a while since I read tbh), game of thrones.. the first in the series of Shadowmarch (I think, was a book I have no idea how I came to own and really enjoyed it but never sought out the rest, that was 15 years ago) was about a big wall of fog and some kid who wanders out of it and is taken in by a family of dwarves iirc… What else I know there's another series rattling around in here. Ah The Witcher I really liked. I started the Hannibal series and enjoyed it but didn't stick with it, finished most of the first book

Then I've read little bits of Kafka, Steinbeck and Camus and always enjoyed it.

I don't mind going of topic either if you see this and think "oh you'd fall in love with x" so feel free to recommend other stuff, I'm just really craving more good semi-grounded space stuff. Come to think of it I'm gonna go rewatch shadow march too cause while it seemed really slow when I was a kid I really thought it was building something and the characters where great iirc

Sry for the wall of text, I do that a lot.
