I am about halfway through “11/22/63” and it’s a marvelous book which seems to have sparked my interest in historical fiction. Maybe something more along the lines of that, instead of war type of historical fiction since I tend to read a lot of history too.

    1. This one has an interesting approach:

Traveller is a historical novel written by Richard Adams in 1988. It recounts the American Civil War through the viewpoint of Traveller, the favorite horse of Confederate General Robert E. Lee.

    2. Lilac girls (WWII female only concentration camp)
      Book of Lost Names (WWII)
The feast of the Goat ( Dominican Republic Dictatorship)
Lady Tam’s Circle of Ladies ( real female doctor in Chinese dynasty)
The island of Sea Women ( Korean culture and Japanese occupation)
