Could you recommend me some books that explore growing up, angst, poverty, or just the psychology of the everyday life of a character?

I like works that focus a lot on describing the thought processes and emotions that the character feel… I don't know if it helps but I liked books like "Los siete locos" (Arlt) , "The death of Ivan Ilyich", and "On heroes and tombs" (Ernesto Sabato).
