An example of what I enjoy is Haunting of Maddy Clare by Simone St. James. Psychological thrillers with ghosts are also really enjoyable to me.
Romance doesn’t have to be there and it certainly doesn’t have to be the central theme of the book, but I do enjoy it. Thank you!
