I made a post a few days ago about people who tried leaving Goodreads for StoryGraph but stuck with GR. It got way more traction than I could have anticipated and I really appreciate that! A recurring reason I noticed was because users had friends on Goodreads and others had mentioned the community aspect of the site, either as a positive or negative. When reading these replies, my immediate thought was "there's a community side to Goodreads?"
I pretty much have only used the site as a means to track what I read; similarly to what StoryGraph users use that platform for. I feel like the only times I ever see other users on GR is in book reviews. I'm very curious how you guys are making friends on the site. I feel like GR isn't a platform where people can connect with others as well as a Discord server, for example.
