I'm currently at a crossroads trying to decide whose books I should dive into for a deep exploration of Ancient Rome. Both Tom Holland and Mary Beard come highly recommended I'm hoping to get your thoughts to help make my choice.
I was specifically looking at Pax Romana and SPQR: A History of Ancient Rome.
Anyone recommendations and opinions are welcome.
