Hey everyone 🙂 I'm looking for shifter books/web novels that are more focused on other genres besides romance. I have no interest in erotica, altho some gentle (big bonus if it's slow burn) romance is welcome. Any species is also welcome.
I've read the Strays series by Rachel Vincent as well.

The Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs
The first thing that comes to mind is the Green Creek series by TJ Klune, which is about werewolves. There are four books, and it’s classified as a fantasy romance, but they aren’t super romancy. Each story has the MC go through this personal development arc to be able to accept love, so the romance doesn’t really happen until the end of the books. In the meantime, they’re focusing on the bad guys.
I will also add that the relationship in book one has an age gap difference of six years. The characters are introduced to us as kids, but nothing happens between them until they’re adults/in their 20s, but I know age gaps aren’t for everyone.
