Hi all! I’ve just read and finished the bell jar, and it absolutely broke me. I related to Sylvia Plath so much, and I think i just ended up sobbing for half an hour after finishing the book, knowing in real life Plath didn’t get to experience her hope come to fruition like Esther.
I chose the bell jar to investigate (as a first year english major) and I don’t think I can do this anymore lol.
What are some other pieces of heart wrenching literature that y’all enjoy?
