This isn’t another post asking for books that will make me cry. I promise. Not really, anyway.
I’ve been in a slump and I’m upset about it.
I’m looking for a super emotional engaging read. It doesn’t have to make me cry, per se, but FEEL. And I realize that will mean something different for everyone. So this is a vague request. Any genre but probably literary fiction.
A book where I have to get my highlighter out. Where people (characters) are struggling but trying hard. Books that moved you. Not necessarily to tears but to the point you had to set the book down and take a deep breath because the story was that powerful.

After reading the great alone by Kirstin Hannah I’ve been binging her books.
The Great Alone is about a struggling family after they move to Alaska. It definitely pulled at my heartstrings and i loved the characters (most of them)
