Recently I am mostly into reading books with a bit more literary merit e.g. crime and punishment (it was ok), lord of the rings (loved it though it took some effort), but it feels like for the past decade the hunger games has consistently remained my favorite book. And while there’s nothing wrong with that I feel a bit disappointed because I know there’s no way a book I read in middle school is the peak of my life’s reading experience or the peak of literature in general.
THG was really gripping and exciting to read. Anyone know of any critically acclaimed novels or classic literature that might compare?

The A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin is a great world-building series if you liked THG and LOTR.
