I’ve just recently discovered my love for book reading, 2 months ago to be precise, and have read some books that I’ve loved but most of them i have not been the biggest fan of.
The one(s) I loved:
•My dark Vanessa: this might just have something do with my love for shows or books that explore trauma, but that aside I absolutely adored the authors writing in the book, it is a book I look back at quite a lot.
The ones I didn’t love:
•The silent patient: My god did this book have misogynistic undertones. I hated the writing in this book, characters were introduced with the motive to be resented, except for our two main characters of course. I gave it a 3⭐️ but I think that was mostly because the ending had me surprised.
• A good girl’s guide to murder: I read this book after seeing the Netflix adaptation trailer, and there’s not much I have to say about the book. It’s just a part of me was underwhelmed? Prior to reading this all I had seen for the book were good reviews, raving about the author’s writing (which was not really my type) and found it a bit repititive but I did overall love the mystery aspect and the characters.
With all this insight I hope it can help get me another 5⭐️ book recommendation.
