Lie with me – Phillippe Besson
Very short book, but so beautiful and heartbreaking

I always recommend The Kite Runner or A Thousand Splendid Suns. Both by the same author. Cannot for the life of me pull his name out of my brain right now though, and I’d probably botch it if I tried.

The Book of Lost Names was incredible.

Most of my suggestions would be historical fictions but those are the three I always think of immediately.

    3. Sea of Tranquility by Emily St John Mandel, author of Station 11. I would read Station 11 then The Glass Hotel and then Sea of Tranquility. They’re not sequels but are somewhat related.

Animal farm. Not like super great book, but the simplicity of it taught me the gist of politics itself

Bury Your Gays by Chuck Tingle. Just finished it recently and I’m normally too squeamish for horror, but this one absolutely blew me away. So far, it’s been my favourite book that I’ve read this year by a long shot.
