Basically any genre is okay, as long as the books are very entertaining and not too long! No bummers, please, and I'd prefer avoiding anything to do with bone related injuries for obvious reasons 😄
Some books I like that fit the bill: Flowers for Algernon (to a degree… it is kind of a bummer), Good Omens, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Mort (Discworld), Daisy Jones and the Six… I'm pretty tired right now so that's all I can think of.
Graphic novels and manga are also welcome 😀

Try the Percy Jackson graphic novels. They are pretty similar to the main story and I usually finish them much quicker than the book they’re based on.
I absolutely love ink heart, I recommend it to anyone who will listen, I don’t know what genre it would be considered, fantasy maybe. There’s a film as well with Brendon Fraser but the book is much better
