I just tried to sell my copies of the Hunger Games and Clockwork Angel (6 books total). Along with a couple other books that are in pristine condition. I’ve only read all of them once so the spine hasn’t cracked, no folded pages, etc.
One used bookstore wouldn’t accept them because they already had them or called them “unsaleable”. The 2nd bookstore tried to offer me $13 for the 6 books total in the Hunger Games and Clockwork Angel series.
I literally looked at that man absolutely astonished. As if $13 gets you anything in this economy. That’s barely even a chipotle burrito. I know used books don’t sell for much but man, I’m much more inclined to donate my books to a library where at least they can be used over and over again by different people. SMH
Side note – if anyone has other methods that they’ve found successful in selling their books, please let me know! I feel like the YA group is hard to reach since they don’t use Facebook which I originally considered selling the books on 😂
