So I’m a big reader. I always have been. But recently, I’ve been struggling trying to find books that I like. I love romance books but i’m not too big on crazy sex scenes. In my personal opinion, I feel like a lot of the books recommended (especially on booktok) really just focus on the sexual attraction between people and the actual chemistry/getting to know each other is lacking. (again, just something i think) But then get a clean book that doesn’t have any scenes like that and any sexual chemistry is gone in an attempt to keep the book appropriate. Are there any romance book recs that are in a middle ground between the two? I feel like You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle and Twice Shy also by her are literally exactly what i’m looking for but when I go to “books like ___” i’m just recommended colleen hoover or something like that. (she’s just not my cup of tea) anyways. i’m kind of desperate rn lol so i thought i should turn to reddit, although im sure a post like this has already been made before.
