I know this is a common one, but I'd just love a huge repository of books that focus on a friendship, not a romance or a family. Stories about or around the bonds between friends. Especially between two friends specifically.
Not necessarily that simply include a friendship — but books that spend a lot of time, focus, or importance on the friendship. It doesn't have to be the literal plot, can be whatever genre of story as long as its friendship-focused in the relationships. Not sure if it's worth defining, I'll take everything! Common sort of sub-tropes are the war comrades or investigative partners. Any sort of relationships that aren't romance/familial, particularly between peers (like, not father-figures or parental or child substitutes).
Books that come to mind for me are Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein, and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin, but I need more! Any age, any genre, any era! Would love to read examples in classic lit. Thanks!

Middlegame by Seanan McGuire
If you’re open to very long books, I *highly* recommend [The Hands of the Emperor](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/af2bba9c-8f41-4a3e-b87a-8532a44ccb67) by Victoria Goddard! It’s a beautifully written slice of life book about the personal secretary to the emperor of the world, with a heavy focus on platonic relationships.
