Reading a book series called Michael Vey where the main villain is a man who takes on the fatherly role of super powered teenagers using deceit, manipulation, and emotional abuse, and when that doesn’t work he gladly takes pleasure in physical abuse.
He’s calculating, strategic, manipulative, and sadistic. He plans for world domination by taking control of the world’s grid and forcing entire governments to bend to his will.
Despite the book series being bland and cliche, I find him to be such a fantastic villain that I want to read more with that archetype.
