Book like 1984 or Handmaids tale

I’m trying to write a book that has a similar world to these two, with totalitarian-esque world and I find that reading makes for the best writing inspiration!

I enjoyed The Handmaids tale much more, and would prefer something more like it.
I tried to read “Brave New World,” and “Fahrenheit 451,” but the writing just felt a bit outdated to me, I think I’ll definitely try 451 again but I want something a bit more modern than BNW.
