Title sort of speaks for itself but I am looking for fantasy books with characters in their 20s or up. Growing up a I read (and loved) a lot of YA fantasy. Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Shadowhunters, the Raven Boys (I know that’s more paranormal), etc. But as I get older, I can’t really get excited about main characters in their teens.
Basically, does anyone have some recs of more mature characters? I don’t need crazy romance but just genuinely older than high school age protagonists.
Other series I’ve liked: Mistborn, Ninth House, Sarah J. Maas books (sue me they are fun), Darker Shade of Magic…
Thank you in advance!! 🙂

*Neverwhere* by Neil Gaiman
*Perdido Street Station* by China Mieville
Have you read Patrick Rothfuss? *The Name of the Wind*, and *A Wise Man’s Fear*?
The caveat is the third book in the trilogy is more than 10 years overdue and may never be published. But the first two are so good in places I have reread them three times.
More playfully, because they start as parody and evolve into truly genius satire, my favourite fantasy writer is Terry Pratchett and my all-time favourite series is Discworld. These books will be read in 200 years.
