If you liked meditations you should read Letters from a Stoic by Seneca.

Make sure not to get the abridged / simplified version. I would recommend an edition from Collins, Oxford, or Penguin.

    2. How to Think Like a Roman Emperor: The Stoic Philosophy of Marcus Aurelius by Donald J. Robertson. It adds a great historical context and analysis to Stoic philosophy.

On the flip side, The Swerve by Stephen Greenblatt which gives historical context to Epicurean philosophy but also details the story of early renaissance book hunters and humanists. Some scholars don’t love it, but it won a Pulitzer Prize and is mighty enjoyable and engaging to read.
