Hey guys! I had an idea for a story I want to write, and I was toying with the idea of having the main character and the group of people she’s part of being entirely blind.
The thing is, while I have been *legally* blind before, I do have my vision.
I’d love some books that are lead by blind protagonists. Ideally, not ones who are called blind but miraculously act like they can see perfectly. My idea is a bit of a dystopian world scenario, so I’m not necessarily looking for high tech blind aids or anything like that.
Memoirs from blind people that discuss their experiences would also be valuable! I’m just looking for good stories that will give me some insight into writing a fairly accurate blind experience that doesn’t just use it as an aesthetic or as a thrown in disability representation
