I am looking for a well-written romance book with a female main character and male love interest. The most important thing is that the writing is good and the characters are developed. I don’t want anything by Colleen Hoover or on the lines of that. It can have smut but I don’t care either way. I also want it to be a slow-burn and i’d prefer if the characters weren’t very young. (preferably older than high school.)

Check out Writers & Lovers by Lily King! The writing was probably my favorite part about it. It’s a great character study with a slow burn relationship. I’d say it’s more so literary fiction than romance though!
