I'm looking for books with sci-fi, fantasy, or science-fantasy settings with vibes like NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind, the artwork of Moebius and Druillet, and games like Sable, Destiny, Numenera, and Septerra Core. Basically, settings that are "fantasy" first and foremost, but with an undercurrent of sci-fi, psychedelia, and/or post-apocalypse. I'm not really interested in more traditional Ye Olde Medieval Times settings, nor straight-up post-apocalypse stuff a la Mad Max/The Road.
So far the only books I've found that really nail this vibe are the Viriconium series by M. John Harrison… Any others y'all would recommend?
