Not sure if the title is clear, but I'm looking for books similar to Lonely Castle in the Mirror by Tsujimura and Anxious People by Backman, where a group of people who are strangers at first get put together into a situation and they end up bonding and growing as people / finishing their character arcs from the experience.
Books that wouldn't fit this description but are sort of similar are books like Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow or Never Let Me Go or Pachinko because they involve the characters mostly interacting with their friends / family. Would also prefer something that isn't historical fiction, so A Thousand Splendid Suns wouldn't fit either, even though I really like all 3 of the books I just mentioned.
Thank you!
