I’m looking for books! To give a better idea of some of the books I love, I’ve read “The Way I Used to be” by Amber Smirth, “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” by Holly Jackson, and “If He had Been With Me” by Laura Nowlin.

The Charlotte Holmes books by Brittany Cavallaro starting with ‘A study in Charlotte’ An angsty modern retelling of some Sherlock Holmes stories with a teenage girl as the protagonist but told from Jamie Watson’s point of view.

The Song of the Lioness by Tamora Pierce. A young woman pretends to be a boy to train to be a knight in her brother’s place

The Letters to Enchantment Duology by Rebecca Ross.

Really cool version of the afterlife after our protagonist is killed in a bicycle accident she goes to the afterlife and in this version you age backward until you get reborn again. She meets her, much younger than she was when she died, grandmother.

The book thief by Markus Zusak and the Messenger by the same author. From the POV of death you see a young girl in Nazi Germany steal books.

The Uglies books by Scott Westerfeld or maybe his Midnighters trilogy. Uglies is a dystopian series. Mightnighters is really fun though.

The House of Night books by PC and Kristen Cast starting with Marked. Vampire novels with magical/Wicca elements. Very angsty. I cried a lot reading these.
