I feel like “Seveneves” by Neil Stephenson is a good option for people who liked “The Three Body Problem”. It’s a hard sci-fi brick about trying to maintain a future for humanity. Lots of descriptions of speculative technology, the crushing fear of human extinction, and societal re-organizing in the face of major changes.
It also contains a HILARIOUSLY outdated Elon Musk stand in. I would recommend it for that alone.

The Book of the New Sun series by Gene Wolfe is excellent. It can be read on so many levels. There are whole books explaining the symbols in it. So good.
