I’m looking for literary fiction novels about expatriates, and books where the characters work in investment banking or something similar (consulting, lawyer, other high powered white collar field). If the main character works in finance AND is an expat, even better! Thanks so much.

[Thomas E. Kennedy](https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/150502.Thomas_E_Kennedy), an American expat to Copenhagen, wrote a Copenhagen Quartet (beginning with Kerrigan in Copenhagen) that is worth reading. The second installment, Falling Sideways, focuses on the work world.
I found [Trust by Hernan Diaz](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/58210933-trust?ac=1&from_search=true&qid=oOouOUez5A&rank=1) to be challenging to follow, but others have recommended I give it another shot (which I plan on doing). Finance and banking, but no expats.
The Dog by Joseph O’Neill is about an American who moves to Dubai for a high-powered professional job. It’s a brilliant, sharp novel, and I’m still puzzled by how much it flew under the radar when it came out (other than being longlisted for the Booker Prize that year.)
