As someone with a toddler, I’ve been amazed at how some of these kids books can hit you as a parent/adult when you read them. I’ve never been one to gift people actual books because I feel like most times people won’t read them (I know I almost never do). But a short kids book that is relatable to adults – I feel that can be a really nice and thoughtful gift for certain occasions and friends.
In this instance, I have a close work friend who got a new job and is moving far away, and Im considering giving them a children’s book that deals with going somewhere new/new adventures/being brave/facing the future etc. – something with a message of hope and excitement or just generally heart warming. This person is very adventurous and brave and they’ve inspired me to be more like that in my own life and career over the years I’ve known them.
Not set on doing this, but wanted to see if you guys had any good suggestions, (other than “Oh the places you’ll go”). I could always get something different if I can’t figure out a good kids book that fits the bill.
