I’m looking for roses in winter, fireworks in the night. Books that put romanticism in romance with prose almost indistinguishable from poetry. I wanna feel like I’m entering a dream when I crack it open and starry-eyed when its completed.
In more specific terms, any recommendations for romance books with an emphasis on the relationship rather than “plot” and clichés? Ones where you can see the couple actually influence each other and learn to love one another rather than just succumbing to lust at first sight. Preferably straight couple, non-YA, with a happy ending. Bonus points if they reference fairy tales bc I’m sappy like that.
