I don't really like reading, but I must admit that The Master and Margarita (Mikhail Bulgakov) has left deep impression on me – it's easy to read, scenes switch quickly, characters are all very captivating themselves, the element of fantasy exists (which I really love) and the discussion of concept of evil throughout the book is basically amazing. I could sit down and ponder about philosophy (& psychology) within the book for ages.
I would like to read something similar in nature. I like 1984 and Animal Farm (George Orwell), too. On the other hand, Dostoevsky, with his pacing, for example, is not captivating to me at all – I understand the profound impact his work has, and totally accept it, but I myself just can't sit down and read it. It's maybe just me.
Any suggestions related to fantasy books that discuss metaethics (problem of evil, for example)? I would be totally invested in that! 🙂
Thank you in advance!
