When I was younger, I loved to draw and paint. Honestly I was fairly good at it. But with uni and adulthood this was one of many hobbies that I had let go.
Recently in therapy I was talking about trying to go back to drawing/painting. But I see myself struggling to deal with the fact that I probably am not that good anymore due to lack of practice and there will be a learning curve.
Reading was also a hobbies that I have gotten back to last year. But I have been really struggling with going back to old hobbies that seems to require a personal effort to handle learning curve, compared to learn a new hobby from scratch.
Have you ever read a book that motivated you to do things you liked as a child without dealing with the invisible adult pressure to be good at everything? Or have you read any art books that helped you kickstart this habit?
