I’ve always had a fascination with all kinds of history and I recently read Magicians of the Gods and Fingerprints of the Gods by Graham Hancock. I’m looking for other books that challenge the “mainstream” view of history. It can be about any historical event or time period.

About the hms terror. Trying to find the northwest passage.
Alternate fictional boom about its actual journey. Wonderful, dark, claustrophobic, tense. Very long but I loved it.
One of Simmons other books is called abominable.
About some climbers during just pre ww2 Era. I don’t want to give more away than that, it actually ties into alot more than just climbing, and into world events.
