I want to support the little guy. I enjoy Fantasy and Sci-Fi books for the most part so definitely looking for that. I read a couple of the Galaxy's Edge series and enjoy those, a bunch of Star Wars books, Harry Potter. I do aim to enter Brandon Sanderson's world at some point but for now I think I want to start with smaller authors.

The October Daye series by Seanan McGuire is one of my favorites. The first book is Rosemary and Rue.
Bobiverse series by Dennis E. Taylor. At least the first one was self-published.
