I want a book with a twist. And I realize that asking for a book with a twist and reading it knowing there is a twist takes a little away from the experience. I like literally all genres. Please help.
“Fingersmith” by Sarah Waters, starts off as a twee little lesbian romance about a Victorian lady and a thief disguised as a lady’s maid.
I don’t want to give more details, but for the sake of TW’s the plot includes >!sexual abuse, and the fear that reports of abuse won’t be believed!< which is a really hard line for some people.

Salvation by Peter F. Hamilton has an incredible twist. It starts with a team of people going to investigate a crashed alien space ship to determine whether or not it’s something threatening. It’s at least a triple twist. The whole trilogy is great but I sure do think about the ending of that first book alot.
