Hey! I’m an essayist and I’m looking to shift to reading more essay collections rather than fiction and memoir. I write mostly personal essay that focuses a lot on music and relationships, but I’m willing to read anything. I just would like to broaden my diet of nonfic! I believe that you can’t write what you don’t read, so I need to read a lot more lol
Some of my favorite collections are:
– anything Didion (very typical lol) but especially The White Album
– They Can’t Kill Us Until They Kill Us by Hanif Abdurraquib
– Little Weirds by Jenny Slate
