I never read nonfiction except for expedition/survival books but I know there is probably more to nonfiction that I should give a chance to, but it seems every suggestion for "gripping/exciting nonfiction" is about true crime.
some topics I like are: art, nature, literature, dark/lonely/melancholy moods, beauty, philosophy
one genre I hate though is memoirs and biographies, so I would prefer if the focus wasn't on a particular person or the authors life experiences.
