I cannot for the life of me find a well-written romance novel that doesn't have shitty characters and miscommunication being the driving forces of the novel. I enjoy emotionally healthy characters that make wise decisions amidst difficult situations, and have zero patience for melodrama.
For comps: I love Elegence of the Hedgehog (ignore the contradictions of the romance please), but I abhor The incredible Lightness of Being.
I enjoy the witty dialog in Book Lovers, but hate the entire subplot of the sister.
Other than that, I have nothing else because I cannot find anything else. Please help me out!
