I know it sounds banal, but hey, that's what I'm most into. Big fan of Dennis Lehane, Jo Nesbø, Stieg Larsson (read everything by all the three of them). James Ellroy too, but I'm looking for something not necessarily that complicated. Others I appreciate, but don't die for, are James Patterson, Henning Mankell, Camilla Läckberg, you know, the usual suspects.
To narrow it down:
- not necessarily looking for a series, a one-shot works just fine;
- any setting would do;
- authors from wherever are welcome.
