I just finished an intense, 2 year masters program in Art History. I loved it, and find non-fiction and biographies fascinating, but I need to give my brain a break for a while.
Recently my friend suggested I read The Summer I Turned Pretty, and I read the entire thing on a weekend trip to the cottage which reignited a previous love affair with YA fiction. I have a few more cottage weekends this summer coming up and would love some similar, light material. I just started The Love Hypothesis and am enjoying it, to give you some ideas. I haven't read "for fun" in about 6 years because of how much I've had to read for school, but before that some novels that I really enjoyed were John Green's books (besides Looking for Alaska), It's Kind of a Funny Story, Me Earl and the Dying Girl, Cleopatra's Moon, 11/22/63, Lullabies for Little Criminals, The Lost Crown, This is Where I Leave You.
I like historical fiction a lot, I don't like fantasy/sci-fi. Perhaps this is not so specific, but I am interested to hear what people might suggest!
