I have read and loved Mistborn, LOTR, Harry Potter, and Percy Jackson. I love reading about new magical systems in stories that make sense and hopefully have well crafted prose. And even if the story gets dark, I do highly appreciate a happy ending.
I am not a fan of romance driving the story. Being in my mid 20s, something more mature than YA would be nice.
I recently picked up The Name of the Wind. And a hundred pages down, while it is doing a wonderful job of keeping me hooked, I'm now worried about it being an unfinished story with the ending nowhere in the horizon.
So if you loved a series, do give it a shout out. Without spoiling it, you can also mention what you loved about it. Any recommendations would be fantastic!
Thank you

Did you try The Magicians? It’s sort of like an adult Harry Potter, in the magical school sense. Interesting plot, but the MC is pretty annoying as a fair warning.
