In the last few years I read around 50-100 book each year and around 70% of it was fiction. I love getting lost in a good story. But last year I was in a reading slump and only read around 20 books and 5 of them were audiobooks and 5 of them were graphic novels. This year I've already read more than last year but I mostly read nonfiction. Mostly history books. I've only enjoyed 2 of the fiction books (The Handmaids Tale and A house with good bones by T Kingfisher) I read, the rest was 2-3 stars.
Have you experienced just a thing? What helped? Am I still in a reading slump but only for fiction?
Edit: I'm studying philosophy and literature and I also had trouble reading the assigned fiction books while I enjoyed the theory and other nonfiction that I had to read.
