I searched through and read all the cozy fantasy recs so please don't recommend me popular books again and again like Legends and Lattes, Goblin Emperor or Anxious People.
I'm around really toxic people rn and struggling badly, I don't have hope that even if I get away I'll ever find a person who cares about me.
That's why I'm looking for a comforting book where a person who's left an abusive or toxic environment finds people who are unconditionally kind, accepting and willing to take the time to understand where they're coming from.
Many found family books I try to read are falsely marketed as found family and the protagonist always has to deal with an established friend group where one person just wants them gone or they need to prove something to show that they belong. Those books triggered me badly so I'm hoping to avoid that.
