Need a break from romantasy please help

I need help. Lately I have been reading romantasy novels as I have heard so much great things about them, but now I just get the ick when reading them.

I am currently reading Kingdom of the Wicked and I just can't finish it! The FMC will be in a serious/perilous situation and will still make a point to think how hot the MMC is and I just pull a face and put the book down until I can brave it again. I think I have just read so many in the past month that now I can't stomach them.

I LOVE fantasy and mystery so any recommendations in this genre with little to no spice would be very much appreciated.
